Hamden, CT Erland Construction’s Connecticut office has moved to Hamden. The new 4,000 s/f space will accommodate the 20-person staff who are currently based in the state. It is located at Hamden Center II, 2321 Whitney Ave., Suite 101.

The Boston-area-based construction management and general contracting firm opened a Connecticut office in East Windsor in 2009. One of the company’s initial projects was construction of the first three phases of Storrs Center, a residential/retail mixed-use development in Mansfield. As work in Connecticut has grown, the company desired a more central location.

The new office will help Erland best serve its clients in the New Haven, Bridgeport, Norwalk and Stamford areas. Erland currently has two projects underway in downtown Stamford – Summer House is a mixed-use high-rise rental housing development, and Element One is a six-story mixed-use rental apartment complex.

“We are excited about moving to Hamden and continuing to grow our business in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts,” said Eric Greene, Vice President & Regional Manager of Erland Construction. “While our work here has been primarily with mixed-use projects, we look forward to bringing our experience in other markets – such as academic, commercial and healthcare – to clients in this region.”

Erland Construction, with offices in Burlington, Massachusetts and Hamden, Connecticut, is the region’s leading open shop construction management and general contracting firm. The company has the specialized expertise for new construction, additions, and renovations in major market sectors including academic, residential, office, commercial, and healthcare.
