Walpole, MA Last year Dan Waldman of Waldman & Associates brought the Walpole Mall to 100% occupancy and recently he leased to Finnegans Wake Restaurant the last remaining space at A1 Marketplace at 643-703 Main St. Waldman also added Dollar Tree, Middlesex Savings Bank, One Small Step, Integrity Tax Service and All-State Insurance.

Finnegans is a popular Irish pub in town and had to relocate due to a new apartment complex being developed on their site. The owners of Finnegans were not considering a retail plaza until Waldman stopped by and a conversation started. Due to the success of adding the new tenants Rocky’s Hardware extended their lease another ten years. Waldman said “Just when we hit 100% I found out that Tanarama was leaving so back to work.”

In Dedham at 530 Providence Highway, Waldman added Drive In Paint to a long term lease. The plaza for years has been empty and the landlord recently invested capital with a new parking lot and improvements to the façade. This is the third location for Drive In Paint. The manager of Drive In Paint feels being so close to Lowe’s and other national retailers has been a blessing since many shoppers on the way to Lowe’s will stop in. They like Drive In Paints selection, customer service and prices. There is still about 12,000 s/f of vacant space to lease but with about 55,000 cars a day passing the site Waldman is optimistic.

Waldman is optimistic that 2019 will be another fabulous year with four retail properties and one self-storage property under agreement and set to close shortly.
