2021 Women in Construction: Ericka Pasersky, Senior Vice President, Construction Management, Groom Construction Co., Inc.

March 26, 2021 - Spotlights

When I’m not working I am…Family, friends, and community involvement are the most important pieces of my life. With three teenagers, we are constantly busy and challenged. My husband is an architect so we can talk shop and bounce ideas off each other when we need to, or put work aside and enjoy a new show or movie. Our great escapes are weekend trips to Lovell, Maine where we take time out to ski, cook, bake, hike and enjoy our family game nights! We have also been renovating an 1865 general store there into our future second home.

What are you doing differently in 2021 that has had a positive impact on your career? As we all learned to pivot, multiple times in 2020, and now into 2021, I have enjoyed the slower pace. I pay more attention to the needs of others, listen more intently and am much more aware of the immediate needs in my own community. Our family has been working at the local food pantries, delivering groceries, and spending time to participate in local beach and park clean ups. Stepping back to see how we each play an important role in improving the lives of others, not only keeps me grounded but also brings positivity and encouragement into the office.
