What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? I’d like to highlight our landscape master planning work at Kent School. The history of the campus and its stunning location offer inspiring elements for an impassioned designer, like me. Kent School is nestled in northwest Connecticut and spans miles of riverfront property. Reimagining the site to improve and enrich the experience of users is a pleasure, and it builds upon a decades-long relationship that SLAM has cultivated with the school. This dedicated client has assisted in formulating over-arching design goals and embraced the concepts rendered. I am looking forward to seeing the first phases of this plan.

When you’re not busy, what is your go to book or podcast to help you unwind? As a mother of two, involved in my community and dedicated to my profession, down time is scarce. However, as a creative thinker and designer, it is important to recharge and find inspiration. For me, this is achieved through social relationships, and solitary retreats outdoors. Discourse with colleagues, friends, and young people broadens my perspective and enlightens my mind. I also take time to run, practice yoga, read, and hike – all pastimes which refresh my body and spirit. I feel it is important to connect with others and embrace opportunities for growth and learning.
