When you’re not busy, what is your go to book or podcast to help you unwind? The perfect place for me to unwind is at the golf course. From collegiate tournaments to networking events, golf has given me the opportunity to increase creativity and my ability to solve problems. The natural environment helps relieve stress while the social aspect allows me to expand my network.

Starting out in the construction business, who or what empowered you? Tom Arcari of QA+M Architecture empowered me when I started my career. I consider him my first mentor and a good friend. He gave me the confidence I needed as a young professional in the A/E/C community. Tom fostered and accelerated my knowledge base by sharing his experience, knowledge, and connections.

Within your firm, who has helped you succeed within the industry? How have they helped you? Cathie Ellithorpe has been an exceptional mentor to me during my time at SLAM. She is an industry leader who has broken down barriers for other women in the A/E/C community. She not only inspires me to have a noteworthy career but is guiding me to achieve it.

What tips or advice would you offer to other women who are considering entering the construction industry?
