2022 Women in Construction: Tetiana Likhanova, Architectural Job Captain at Jewett Construction

What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? During this year I’ve transitioned from working in a branding agency as an architectural visualizer to my current position as architectural job captain at Jewett Construction. This is an exciting change for me, as I was looking to work in an architectural studio since I’ve moved to the United States a couple of years ago. I am very happy to combine my many skills in one place. I like diving deep into code analysis and material research, designing spaces, then shooting drone videos and rendering animations – all that helps to make the projects successful for clients.

Starting out in the construction business, who or what empowered you? I am very happy to be working alongside my project manager Lori Smith – an architect with 30 years of experience and many years in a design-build setting, who never gets tired of answering my questions and appreciates my visualization skills
