What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2023?

Through our internal credit-training program, we have promoted five portfolio managers across our footprint to commercial bankers. Two other commercial bankers have also been newly promoted to regional executives. We have great people here, and I am ecstatic to see my colleagues achieving new heights throughout Rockland Trust.

How has your career path changed in 2023?

In 2023, I was promoted to EVP, chief commercial banking officer after 15 years as a regional executive. I have spent my career building relationships across my home of the South Coast. While my title has changed, relationships are still at the heart of my role – the scope is just a bit wider. Today, it means leading a team of 90+ commercial bankers and supporting businesses across MA & RI.

What emerging trends will drive investment and development in 2024?

This comes down to the future of interest rates and single family/multi-family housing. While not new trends, they remain key drivers of today’s market. With potential rate cuts in 2024, combined with recent MBTA community legislation – it will be imperative to remain nimble and prepared to recalibrate to the ever-changing landscape.
