What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? I believe that my most significant accomplishment in my profession is the creation of a strong network of relationships that allows me to continuously improve my work. By actively seeking feedback from subcontractors and architects, I can do my best to see that each project runs smoothly and efficiently.

What has been the driving force behind your success in the AEC industry? I owe my success in the AEC industry to my coworkers, whose vast knowledge and experience I have had the privilege to learn from. The construction industry fills me with pride as I witness the results and solutions that emerge from the collaborative efforts of team members from diverse roles and companies, coming together for a common goal. Seeing our collective success inspires me to strive for excellence, not just for myself but also to support my coworkers in achieving their own goals.

What is your favorite / most beneficial part of Women in Construction week? My favorite aspect of Women in Construction Week is the chance to motivate the upcoming generation. When young girls witness women taking on leadership positions and actively participating in construction sites, it broadens their perspectives and inspires them to consider exploring career options within the construction industry.

Who or what inspired you to join the AEC industry? After many years of working in the golf industry, I realized that I had reached a plateau in my professional growth. This prompted me to search for a new career path, and that’s when I joined Acella over four years ago. I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I’ve been constantly challenged and learn every day, pushing myself to be the best for this company. Acella has provided me with the tools and opportunities to grow professionally and personally, and I’m grateful for the chance to be a part of such a supportive and forward-thinking team.

What are your goals for the future? My future aspirations involve collaborating with a company where I can keep learning, take on more responsibilities, and contribute my best efforts to the team. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.
