What has been the driving force behind your success in the AEC industry? My journey in construction began over 20 years ago. It was a time when the majority of women assumed administrative roles within the industry. Since then, the construction industry has evolved as more and more organizations welcome the value of women’s contributions as they expanded into leadership positions.

I have always contributed my success to embracing leadership with a spirit of excellence and an opportunity to invest in the lives of others. Core values of loyalty, commitment and fiduciary care have always taken first place in my approach to both the principals of Viking Construction and those within the organization who, alongside me, support the day-to-day happenings of the company. I am a firm believer in leading by example while also cultivating a culture that encourages personal growth, new ideas and shared efforts that can be celebrated by all.
