What is one project or achievement in your career that you are most proud of, and how did it impact your organization or community? In fall 2023, I worked on a Wetland Functional Assessment Report for a large residential development project in Bedford, under a tight deadline. I worked overtime to ensure the report was comprehensive, highlighting productive wetlands and proposed avoidance techniques. A few weeks later, the NHDES reviewer praised the report, calling it well-organized, thorough, and thoughtful, especially appreciating the use of NHDES Wetland Rules. This feedback felt rewarding and encouraged better coordination between TFM and NHDES moving forward.
Who or what has inspired you most in your career, and what advice would you share with the next generation of women entering the A/E/C industry? My mom has always inspired me with her dedication and passion. She worked full-time while raising us and always made time for what mattered. After realizing finance wasn’t her passion, she became a fitness trainer and found fulfillment. Her journey motivates me to pursue what excites and fulfills me in my work at TFM, especially in project coordination. My advice to the next generation of women in A/E/C: Find your passion, even if it takes time, and do what excites you. It leads to your best work and a more fulfilling life!
What’s your favorite way to recharge or get inspired outside of work? My favorite way to recharge is hiking or grabbing coffee, jamming to music while driving up the coast
Do you have a hidden talent or a surprising fact about yourself that most people wouldn’t know? I wrote a Sci-Fi dystopian novel for my senior project and hope to write another or a poetry book!
