What trends or innovations do you believe will shape the future of your field, and how are you positioning yourself (or your firm) to be at the forefront? Recognizing that resiliency – whether in building design or site development – is critical in shaping the future of land development. As climate and environmental impacts continue to evolve, it’s essential to ensure that new construction can withstand these changes. At Bohler, we proactively guide our clients to consider resiliency from the earliest stages of a project, helping them avoid unexpected challenges down the road. By educating ourselves on the latest innovations, design techniques, and regulatory requirements, we deliver solutions that benefit both the environment and our community.

Who or what has inspired you most in your career, and what advice would you share with the next generation of women entering the A/E/C industry? My mom. As a working mother, she balanced family life while advancing her career – starting as a mechanical engineer and quickly rising into leadership. She always believed I would thrive in a management role, and her example showed me that hard work and determination can open doors. Watching her succeed as one of the few women in her field gave me the confidence to carve my own path in land development – another traditionally male-dominated industry. My advice to the next generation of women entering the A/E/C industry is simple: believe in yourself and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

What’s your favorite way to recharge or get inspired outside of work? Believe it or not, yard work! I love seeing the result of my efforts and giving back to the planet.

Do you have a hidden talent or a surprising fact about yourself that most people wouldn’t know? I can write my name backwards, in cursive, with my non-dominant hand.
