2026 Women in Construction: Rochelle Conroy, Auburn Construction

What current or recently completed project, accomplishment or initiative are you most excited about, and why does it matter for your team, clients or community? One recently completed project I’m most excited about is the expansive exterior and interior renovation for Holy Cross Family Ministries. This work matters because HCFM plays a vital role in supporting families and strengthening the community. The improvements create a welcoming, functional space that allows staff to better serve families and provides a gathering place where community members can connect, seek support, and grow together. It’s rewarding to see a project that truly benefits the people it serves.

What do you wish more women knew about the opportunities available in the construction industry today? I wish more women knew how many opportunities exist in the construction industry today and how diverse those opportunities truly are. The field offers careers in leadership, project management, design coordination, problem-solving, and innovation, to name just a few. There is room for creativity, growth, and long-term stability, and women bring valuable perspectives that strengthen teams and outcomes. The construction industry has space for women to succeed, lead, and build meaningful careers while making a visible impact on communities.

What is something outside of work that brings you energy, balance or creativity? Spending time with my child and family, exercising, reading, or being outdoors helps me recharge and focus.
