What emerging trends will drive investment and development in 2023?
In the city of Pawtucket, several of our key education, economic development, and quality of life initiatives are coming to fruition. Pawtucket voters overwhelmingly approved a bond question for the construction of a state-of-the-art high school, a transformational investment in the future success of generations of Pawtucket students. Tidewater Landing is a new $300 million project along the banks of the Seekonk River that includes a 10,000-seat soccer stadium, public waterfront amenities, hundreds of housing units, commercial space, and retail and restaurant space. The new Pawtucket-Central Falls commuter rail station and surrounding transit-oriented development district that provides MBTA service to Providence and Boston is set to open in 2023. We are making our city a better place to live, work, and play.
