What has been the driving force behind your success in the AEC industry? Working in design build has been the driving factor in my success in the AEC industry. Architecture is only one component to a successful project, years of in-house collaboration understanding how costs, schedule and constructability can impact a design has made me knowledgeable beyond my years. Design build is a model based on collaboration and partnerships, both internal and external, this helped me foster long-lasting relationships that have guided me through the years. With so many resources available I do not feel there is a project I could not tackle or a problem I cannot solve. 

What are your goals for the future? Ultimately, I would love to have ownership in my own design build firm, but my first priority is to better educate the AEC world on design build to see it become the standard in project delivery. Design build in its truest form is the most transparent and risk adverse process for any client. Educating the end users is a must in the coming years to get more buy-in but it also is important to counter misconceptions that have been formed when design build is not practiced properly.
