Kara Cronin
Director, People & Culture
AmConCorp

What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? My greatest achievement in the past year has been securing the Workforce Training Fund Grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development for AmCon. This allows us to deliver training and valuable content to all our employees for continued growth and success in the workplace. Investing in the development of our employees leads to increased productivity, morale, and overall success for AmCon.

What is your favorite / most beneficial part of Women in Construction week? My favorite and most rewarding part of Women in Construction week this year was moderating the panel discussion which focused on the career journey of women in the AEC industry. It was enlightening to hear about the diverse paths and strategies these women used to make a significant impact in the construction industry and how they navigated challenges in their career. The panel provided valuable insights into how these women overcame obstacles and how although we face challenges, it’s often where we learn the most.
