Everything must come to an end, just like every rose has its thorn, just like every night has its dawn...Or something like that. At the end of this month my time serving the New England CCIM Chapter will come to an end. From here out I will be the artist formally known as president. Over the past 730 some odd days I have a few things that I would like to reflect on.
The Program. There is no question in my mind that the CCIM Educational Program is the best in the business. Period. We just had the newly revamped course in Boston which was a joint effort between the N.E. CCIM Chapter as well as the Greater Boston R.E. Board. Special thanks to Kristen Langone and Jeremy Cyrier for pulling it together. We look forward to more courses like this next year. The reason being is that after this course a student approached me and explained that the benefits were not only that it brings you into theory and incredible software, it also goes into real world examples. Which brings me to my next point...
The People. Like any great organization it is the people who make the organization tick, they are the real world. The instructors of the CCIM programs are THE reason the courses are successful. The $3 million course rewrite would have been worthless if the course had been delivered in Klingon. But the people who put on these shows are the best in the business. Jeremy Cyrier and Jeanne Barreta are two local instructors of the programs. They have helped in the past 24 months assemble some great programs and they are assisting us to deliver some great courses for 2010 as well. They have served you as secretary and treasurer respectively and brought so much to the positions that we cannot even go into in one paragraph. Outside of education, Sandy Brown was a fellow test taker with me, when we went to get our pins in Tampa, since then he has helped me steer the chapter, and I look forward to his leadership in the future. Bob Shannon, our treasure, brings a stable force at that position. He also does what is invaluable to our organization, question everything. We would not be where we are without Bob's desire to question the status quo. There are others who have helped along us along the way in the past two years, Doug Smith, Deb Stevens, Peter Tilden, Art Jovellas, Mark Dickey, Scott Reid, Kevin Huther, John Hughes, Bob Welch, Marcellus Heath, Beth Cleary, Michael Chase, Erin Link, Kevin Fletcher, John Coakley, Bev Uhlenhake, Connor Barnes, Greg Skutas, Dennis Davis and Mike Sorrentino. And others who I am sure I have forgotten so my apologies. But we need more help...(cue transition)...
The Potential. Every great organization has potential. The names above are just some of those who have helped. Like Voltron assembling the parts together to make a greater whole (and kick some Zarkon tail), all of these people have helped us create programs that created the chapter.
