Allen & Major Associates completes 16,315 s/f CVS Pharmacy

Allen & Major Associates, Inc. has completed the engineering design and permitting of a 16,315 s/f retail pharmacy and drive-thru located on a 2.08 acre site that was consolidated from six individual parcels the corner of Main (Rte. 38) and School St. The project obtained a site plan special permit, project notification form filing with Massachusetts Historical Commission, as well as a Massachusetts Department of Transportation Access Permit. The lot consolidation was executed by A&M's land survey division which also executed an ALTA/ACSM Land Title, Existing Conditions and As-Built Survey, and easement plans for Mass DOT roadway widening.
Engineer and principal-in-charge, Tim Williams said the plan is to have entrances and exits onto both Main and School Sts., with the primary access off School St. Most other elements of the site are standard for the familiar CVS stand-alone pharmacies. There is a drive-up pharmacy with two service windows and a by-pass lane providing patrons convenient access to the services provided. Sidewalk and lane widening improvements along Main Street improve access and pedestrian connectivity to the site, while extensive landscape improvements blend the new building and parking with the adjacent city park area.
