Arnold Peck's Commercial World and Property World welcomes Ratner

According to Arnold Peck, Ellis Ratner, real estate professional, attorney, and published author has joined Arnold Peck's Commercial World and Property World. Ratner became associated with the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, a multi-national law firm headquartered in NYC, whose clients included Fortune 50 companies and investment banks. He focused on corporate and securities law, specializing in IPO's and M&A, including those involving real estate companies. Ratner thereafter was named program director, Bureau of Consumer Protection, Federal Trade Commission, where he was awarded the coveted Commendation for Superior Service on several occasions. He excelled as moderator or panelist at several advertising or corporate symposia. He is the co-author of books on financial services, including "70% Off: The Investor's Guide to Discount Brokerage," which was named "one of the ten best financial books of 1983" by the Washingtonian and "Financial Services: Investor's Guide to the 80's."
