Aron of Metrowest Commercial Real Estate leases 3,000 s/f to Play It Again Sports

Marlene Aron, senior associate broker of Metrowest Commercial Real Estate, has leased 3,000 s/f at 271 Worcester Rd. to Play It Again Sports, a national franchise with nearly 340 stores specializing in used sporting goods and new sporting goods. Play It Again Sports is part of the Winmark Corp. family of brands. Winmark has over 900 franchise-owned and operated businesses throughout North America, and is a strong and financially stable franchisor. Since 1988, Winmark has operated award-winning, national brands including:Plato's Closet, Play It Again Sports, Once Upon A Child, Music Go Round, and Wirth Business Credit. Aron, said, "The Rte. 9 retail leasing activity has picked up in the 3rd quarter of 2010. Play It Again Sports will bring a lot of foot traffic to 271 Worcester Rd. and its tenancy should help fill the adjoining 2,000 s/f to bring the plaza to 100% occupancy."

Goldberg of Spire Investments purchases Beverly portfolio for $9.2m

Beverly, MA Jay Goldberg, president and owner of Spire Investments has completed the purchase of four multifamily buildings. The 33-unit purchase amounted to a sale price of $9.2 million or $278,788 per unit. The properties are all located in downtown and consist of one- and two-bedroom units.
