Bioengineering Group wins Stevie Award for Women in Business as fastest growing company of 2009

Bioengineering Group was honored as the Fastest Growing Company of 2009 at the sixth annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business. The Massachusetts-based company was recognized for doubling its staff size and sales in 2008--achieving a 100% increase in revenue and scaling up from 34 to 72 employees. Bioengineering Group founder and CEO, Wendi Goldsmith, accepted the award during award ceremonies held recently in New York City.
This year's winners were selected from over 1,110 nominations across 54 categories. In addition to their award for Fastest Growing Company of the Year, Bioengineering Group and Goldsmith were named as finalists in three other categories: Best Entrepreneur - Service Business, Environmental Stewardship Program of the Year, and Website of the Year.
Bioengineering Group is as a leader in ecologically-sensitive development and public infrastructure work. Current projects of the firm include providing engineering, program management, and construction management on the largest design-build civil works project in US history--the $1.3 billion Inner Harbor Navigation Canal project now in construction to provide hurricane protection for the City of New Orleans. The firm is also providing design, environmental consulting, and sustainable site planning for private corporations, institutions, and public agencies on large-scale projects.
