Boston, MA Boylston Properties has hired industry veteran Justin MacEachern as director of construction. MacEachern’s immediate principal responsibility is building the $350 million Arsenal Yards mixed use development, a joint venture with The Wilder Companies. With sitework underway, Arsenal Yards is a one million s/f development of the former Arsenal Mall site in Watertown, into an urban neighborhood, slated to open in spring 2019.

Prior to joining Boylston Properties, MacEachern worked at Gilbane Building Co. for nearly a decade, most recently overseeing projects in downtown Boston and Cambridge including the Vivo Apartment Building, the State St. Bank project at One Channel Center St. and Rebooks’ recent relocation of their headquarters to The Innovation and Design Building. A licensed construction supervisor since 2005, in 2015 MacEachern was named one of Engineering News Record’s Top Young Professionals in New England.

“Boylston Properties has always stood out to me as an industry leader who does quality work on interesting projects,” said MacEachern. “Joining the company as the director of construction and overseeing the Arsenal Yards redevelopment is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make an impact in the Greater Boston area and work alongside a team who shares my passion of reimagining urban communities.”

“Justin’s fresh perspective and impressive experience makes him a natural fit for the role,” said Mark Deschenes, principal of Boylston Properties. “His dedication to executing the vision of Arsenal Yards, while offering experience in managing the design/build process for a large luxury home builder in the suburbs and major commercial spaces throughout the city of Boston makes him a valuable addition to not only our team, but the Watertown community.”

MacEachern serves on the board of directors for the ACE Mentor Program of Greater Boston and is involved with several organizations including Merrimack Valley Housing Partnership, NAIOP, United Way Emerging Leaders and AGC Massachusetts.
