According to Kelleher and Sadowsky Associates, Inc., industry veteran Steve Brooks has been appointed vice president of its asset management group.
"We have the skills and experience to help owners navigate the complexities of owning and maximizing the value of real estate holdings. By understanding a property's strengths and weaknesses, physical condition, operations, and leasing environment, our evaluation can lead to various solutions including financing, re-tenanting, repositioning, disposition, or redevelopment of existing real estate assets in order to maximize property values," said Brooks.
Brooks has over 20 years of experience asset managing commercial real estate. Most recently, he worked at Berkeley Investments in Boston where he was vice president of asset management. Prior to that, he worked as an asset manager at John Hancock. He has asset managed commercial real estate all over New England ranging from 10,000 s/f buildings to 1 million s/f portfolios. From 2003 - 2011, he asset managed Berkeley's City Square project in downtown Worcester which included 444,000 s/f of office space, 100,000 s/f of retail space, and a 1,300 space parking garage.
Brooks received an MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a B.S. in finance from Lehigh University.
John McKinley, principal of Kelleher and Sadowsky, said, "There is a lack of sophisticated and comprehensive asset management services available to the commercial real estate community outside the Metro Boston market. Kelleher & Sadowsky's asset management group now fills that void. Brooks has a unique background and perspective that he can bring to the table to help clients meet their objectives."
