Brownell of Brownell Group honored by The Construction Institute

The Construction Institute hosted their 39th Annual Membership Meeting and Awards Dinner on June 19th at the Aqua Turf Club.
David Brownell of the Brownell Group was selected for the 2014 Distinquished Service Award for his outstanding service and continued dedication to, and ongoing efforts to extend the influence of, the Construction Institute, University of Hartford.
Brownell has served the Construction Institute in many roles, starting with the technology committee, then marketing, program, committee on change and currently as a member of the board of advisors, of which he will assume the chair position for 2014 - 2015.
Brownell is a founding member of the BIM Council, advancing the methodology of building information modeling and focusing on all associated project delivery methods.
Brownell co-chairs the ever popular Visionaries Forum with Peter Hentschel of Tecton Architects, bringing innovators of the built environment and national thought provoking speakers to the region to advance the knowledge base and open the minds of attendees to the future of the industry.
Brownell has been serving the built environment for over 30 years with his passion for identifying and advancing new technologies, innovations and efficiencies derived from utilizing technology which includes BIM, VDC, mobile and cloud solutions. Brownell is a principal with the Brownell Group, assisting clients with technology solution road mapping & program management, sales management & business development, social media implementation, integration and ROI metrics along with content creation and management.
