Bridgeport, CT Litigation law firm Ryan Ryan Deluca LLP (RRD) will expand its Fairfield County presence with a new office at 1000 Lafayette Blvd., according to Colliers International Group Inc. At the same time, the 50-year-old practice has renewed its long-time headquarters lease at 707 Summer St. in Stamford.

RRD, which focuses on insurance and business-related litigation, has evolved into one of the largest firms in Fairfield County – and beyond. “Our client currently handles cases in virtually every courthouse in Connecticut,” said Colliers’ executive managing director |market leader Jeffrey Williams, who serves as RRD’s exclusive real estate advisor with Associate Hollis Pugh out of the global commercial real estate services firm’s Stamford office. “Over the past year, we have worked with management so that RRD’s offices are located to ensure the best client service and quality of life for employees.”

In Bridgeport, RRD leased 12,351 s/f at 1000 Lafayette Blvd. Shelbourne Lafayette LLC owns the property and was represented by Penny Wickey of Saugatuck Commercial Real Estate. At 707 Summer St. in Stamford, RRD re-committed to 9,586 s/f at the Albert Ashforth Inc.-owned property. George Walker from JLL served as the landlord’s broker.

Williams said, “We were pleased that both Landlords were amenable and willing to work with RRD’s complicated requirements, and these latest long-term transactions were a result of that collaborative effort.”

The Fairfield County activity follows RRD’s foray into northern Connecticut in 2015, when the firm absorbed a group of Hartford-based attorneys and opened an office at City Place II. The Colliers team also brokered that 8,056 s/f lease.

RRD serves as trial counsel and local counsel in Connecticut for numerous businesses and insurance carriers. Each year the practice resolves over 500 litigation matters.

“Our business has expanded significantly in recent years, including notable growth in cases in the Bridgeport/New Haven area,” said RRD’s Robert Hickey, Esq., managing partner. “A number of our attorneys also live locally. The addition of the Bridgeport and Hartford offices mean that if a client has a case in Connecticut, the chances are that RRD has a lawyer within a half-hour of their office or trial location. And the RRD team members who move to the Bridgeport office will enjoy a shorter commute and faster access to their cases.”
