CONN-OSHA safety training opportunities

Two upcoming safety training workshops may be of interest; both will be held at CONN-OSHA's headquarters. Preventing Workplace Violence will be presented by CONN-OSHA on January 24, 2013 from 10 a.m. to noon. A very real day-to-day trend of workplace threats, aggression, and assaults has grown to epidemic proportions. This workshop is designed to make you more aware of the issues related to workplace violence and to provide tools to help manage, defuse, and prevent it. On February 13, 2013, Construction Site Safety will be presented from 9 a.m. to noon. OSHA's Focus Four areas of concern on the construction site - all protection, scaffolding and ladders, electrical hazards, and trenching safety will be reviewed and discussed. While there is no cost to attend, pre-registration is required.
