Connecticut Building Congress to host program at Sandy Hook School March 26

Sandy Hook, CT The Connecticut Building Congress (CBC) will host the program “Recovery, Rebirth, and Revival: Sandy Hook School Tour and Housatonic Valley Outlook” on Tuesday March 26, at the Sandy Hook School, school cafeteria, 12 Dickenson Dr. The event will start at 5:30 p.m. with networking and registration.

Take a tour of Sandy Hook School, the 2017 CBC Project Team of the Year winner. You’ll hear from the project team about the challenges and special considerations for this project that required a very unique approach to community involvement and a deep commitment on the part of each team member. 

Speakers include: Konstantinos Diamantis, director, CT Office of School Construction; Daniel Rosenthal, first selectman, town of Newtown; Francis Pickering, executive director, Western CT Council of Governments; and design team leaders, from the Sandy Hook School project team.

Hear about the state’s role in funding the Sandy Hook School project and in future plans for the CT School Grant program. 

If that isn’t enough to make the trip to the southwest area of the state, local and regional officials will join the event to discuss future development in this growing and vibrant area of the state.
