CoreNet Global - New England chapter 2023 CREST interns.

Another New England summer in the books! We hope you took some time off to relax, unwind, and spend time with family and friends. Here at the New England Chapter, we’ve prepared and organized more than ten amazing summer programs and events, such as a Clambake hosted by the Real Advantage Committee, the Southline Project Tour hosted by the Programs Committee, the Summer Soiree hosted by the Career Strategies + Development Committee, a Golf Clinic hosted by the Young Leaders Committee in partnership with the DE&I Committee, and the Summer Sip newsletter, brought to you by the Communications Committee. Thank you to all of our committee volunteers for your hard work this summer, including the work this summer to prepare for a busy fall season at The New England Chapter of CoreNet Global.

While we’re all sad to see summer go, ushering in fall means it’s time for our 22nd Annual Charitable Golf Tournament at Pinehills Golf Club on October 5th. Sponsorships are just about sold out, but there are still some foursomes left - hurry up and secure your foursome today! A portion of proceeds including mulligan sales and raffle sales benefit The Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston - join us for a great day on the links with industry networking, all for a great cause.

If you aren’t ready to play in a foursome on October 5th but want to improve your skills, join us at the Golf Clinic that day instead, and learn some tips to improve your game from a golf pro, to be able to play in a foursome next year! Email [email protected] if you’re interested in participating in the Golf Clinic!

I’m always so proud to share the progress the chapter is making on a theme close to my heart and pivotal to my presidency, ‘Doing Well by Doing Good.’

In addition to our upcoming golf tournament which benefits a great cause, the DE&I Committee’s partnership with the CREST program just wrapped up another successful internship season - not only did the program boast 26 interns this summer, but the DE&I committee matched each intern with a CRE mentor from our chapter. A huge shout out to the DE&I committee - the growth of the CREST partnership is admirable, and several other CoreNet Global chapters are even looking to emulate our program!

The Chapter’s DE&I Committee is also proud to be a Bronze sponsor of the upcoming 2023 Boston CRE Diversity Equity & Inclusion Summit presented by the DEI Collaborative on September 28th. This summit is an opportunity to join local industry professionals to share insights and strategies on how to meaningfully advance DE&I within corporate and commercial real estate.

For more information on the type of items to donate, including storage units, tables, stacking chairs/seating, and accent chairs, contact Christine Weiner or Fran Novel if you are interested. If you can donate items, they are requested by October 1st.

I hope to see many of you at the CoreNet Global North America Summit in Denver from October 28th - 30th. Don’t miss impactful keynote speakers, new connections and reconnecting with old friends, actionable ideas, and the latest in corporate real estate. This year’s theme is “Zoom Out: Adapting Your Perspective” and a focus will be on a leader’s ability to navigate change, disruption, and uncertainty. This is paramount in a world that has become increasingly turbulent and volatile - register today!

Lastly – please save the date for our chapter’s Annual Holiday Party being held on November 30th at Boston Art from 5:30pm-8:30pm. This event is hosted by the Young Leaders Committee, and all are welcome! Registration will open in the coming months.
