Corvias Campus Living partners with Gilbane on student housing projects

East Greenwich, R.I. Corvias Campus Living, a division of the Corvias Group, will partner with Gilbane Building Co. to construct student housing projects nationwide.

Under the partnership Gilbane will provide construction services for selected projects at colleges and universities.

The contract will extend over the next 65 years and marks the first time a public university system has privatized a portfolio of campus housing.

Gilbane has built $13 billion in higher education projects and is now working on 55 campuses in 40 states.

Corvias has had increased interest in its development services, following its selection in 2014 by the University System of Georgia for a $548 million student housing partnership, to create 3,753 beds and manage another 6,195 beds for nine campuses in the state.
