Cresa Boston, led by principal Michael Labonte and senior advisor Barbara Rodi Dadasis, recently managed the build-out and project management services that resulted in Zipcar's corporate headquarters' relocation to 35 Thomson Place in the Fort Point district of South Boston. Zipcar—a leading vehicle-sharing service that rents cars by the hour—is leasing 46,000 s/f.
Cresa Boston principals Chris Crooks, Adam Subber, and Dan Sullivan provided transaction management services as part of the company's office lease expansion and relocation. More than 200 of its employees occupy the entire six-story, brick-and-beam building.
Zipcar previously occupied 35,000 s/f at 25 First St. in Cambridge.
According to Labonte, the objective of the project, which began in November 2012, was to capture and accentuate the company's corporate culture at its new space. Zipcar and the team delivered a sustainable project, including recycled materials selected with environmental impact in mind.
The project team included Margulies Perruzzi Architects (MPA), led by Janet Morra, for architectural services; Wise Construction, led by Tom Healy, for pre-construction and construction management services; and W.B. Engineers, led by Dan Moody, for engineering services.
Crosspoint Associates Inc. is the property manager of the building.

"We believe Zipcar's creative new space will benefit current employees and help in the recruiting and retention of future employees."
Cresa's integrated services for the interior fit-up included strategic planning, vendor selection (including cable and furniture), program development, design and construction management, along with overall project budget, schedule, and relocation oversight.
