CUBE 3 Studio acts as core and shell architect for M Lab Center

Burlington, MA CUBE 3 Studio was the core and shell architect for the M Lab Collaboration Center, ensuring the new office space will accommodate 400 existing employees from other nearby locations (Bedford, Billerica, and Danvers) making it the new North American HQ for the company. The Summit Office Park will now serve as the premier global destination for customers, housing an environment where scientists and engineers will closely work together with their customers to help solve the most difficult life science questions.

EMD Millipore was founded in Bedford in 1954 as Millipore Corp.  Millipore Corp. was attained in 2010 by Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany and became a vital part of the company’s life science tools division. Millipore manufactures filtration and purification equipment and systems to assist in the development and administration of medicines.

MilliporeSigma’s new collaboration center will be containing 350,000 s/f of class A corporate office space, but in addition to that it will house much more.

“The campus will serve as a premier global customer destination, housing both a customer service and call center and an M Lab Collaboration Center–a state-of-the-art, shared, exploratory environment where the company’s scientists and engineers work together with customers to help solve their toughest life science challenges. 

The M Lab Collaboration Center will be one of nine centers worldwide created specifically for collaboration, where hands-on training, customer experiments and application troubleshooting take place in a non-GMP environment. Other locations will include Brazil, China, France, India, Singapore and South Korea. This new enhanced M Lab Collaboration Center in Burlington will replace the flagship M Lab at the company’s Billerica facility,” said EMD Millipore.
