The Environmental Business Council of New England, Inc. will hold its 4th annual low impact development conference on September 24, 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM. The Stormwater Management-Adapting to the New Paradigm conference will be held at Emerging Enterprise Center at Foley Hoag, Bay Colony Corporate Center, 1000 Winter St., Suite 4000, northentrance.
The past decade has brought new state and federal regulations that affect stormwater management strategies and favor low impact development measures. Many have proven to be not only highly functional, but also beautiful and even cost-effective. This year's conference will provide the latest information on how various projects in MA have handled stormwater sustainably using biofiltration, green roofs, treatment wetlands, and other techniques. Leading practitioners will share the underlying science that is shaping policy and regulations.
We will hear about recent mandates including federal Executive Order 13514 and MA Executive Order 484 that drive sustainable water and energy management on an integrated basis, and how they are being applied. From the point of view of NGOs, municipalities, and the private sector, we will hear about the future direction of stormwater management. From small scale sites, to large municipal systems and industrial sites, join us to hear how colleges, hospitals, offices, multifamily, retail, and industrial users can follow the successful example of others adapting to the new paradigm of Low Impact Development.
This is a must attend event for developers, EHS managers, consultants, architects, engineers, regulators, and municipal, state, and federal officials.
