Flagg joins Waterford Hotel Group as director of business development

Waterford Hotel Group has appointed Christopher Flagg as director of development. Flagg brings more than 10 years of experience to Waterford Hotel Group. He worked previously as the managing director of Definitive Consulting Group in Calif. He also worked for HEI Hotels & Resorts in Conn. as director of development and later as vice president of development. His experience in hotel development began with Ocean Park Hotels in San Luis Obispo, Calif. as vice president of development & acquisitions. "Waterford has seen considerable growth in 2012 and we are well positioned to continue expanding our managed portfolio," said Greg Smith, vice president, business development for Waterford Hotel Group. "I believe that Waterford is perfectly positioned to achieve significant growth in the years ahead. They have a proven operating platform that can accommodate and be customized to fit any hotel in any U.S market. It is this breadth of experience and qualifications, coupled with their strong capital and brand relationships, that convinced me to join the Waterford team," said Flagg. Flagg holds a master's degree in Hospitality Administration from Cornell University. Waterford Hotel Group is one of the nation's leading hotel and convention center management companies. The company operates 33 properties in 9 states, representing more than 4,000 total rooms and nearly 700,000 s/f of meeting and convention space.
