Fleischmann of Simon Konover awarded ICSC scholarship

Michael Fleischmann, acquisitions and development associate at Simon Konover Development Corporation was awarded the John T. Riordan Professional Education Scholarship. The scholarship was awarded at the RECon Global Real Estate convention held in Las Vegas. This was one of fifteen scholarships awarded globally to real estate professionals displaying professional excellence, leadership ability and involvement within the industry. The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Foundation established the John T. Riordan Professional Education Scholarship in 2004 to encourage professional education and to further career development of retail real estate professionals. Through this scholarship, Fleischmann completed courses in development, design and construction at the John T. Riordan School for Professional Development in Scottsdale, Arizona. Fleischmann joined The Simon Konover Co. in 2010 shortly after graduating from Marist College with a bachelor of science degree in Finance. He is a member of the ICSC Next Generation planning committee, CREW CT Youth outreach committee and the New England Retail Connection planning board. Fleischmann is also a board member on the Marist College Young alumni committee.

Goldberg of Spire Investments purchases Beverly portfolio for $9.2m

Beverly, MA Jay Goldberg, president and owner of Spire Investments has completed the purchase of four multifamily buildings. The 33-unit purchase amounted to a sale price of $9.2 million or $278,788 per unit. The properties are all located in downtown and consist of one- and two-bedroom units.
