Gibbons of Associated Brokerage Group brokers 3.44 acre development site to DLJ RECP

Somerville, MA Bernard Gibbons of Associated Brokerage Group (ABG) has brokered 3.44 acre development site in the Boynton Yards area of the city located at 111-153 South St., immediately south of Union Sq. and its new MBTA Green Line Extension Station currently under construction. The land was acquired by DLJ RECP. The site is located on one of the last large concentrations of underdeveloped commercial land in Union Sq. Improved with two small office buildings and surface parking, the site can support 675,000 s/f of mixed-use development while ongoing city rezoning is expected to significantly increase this density. The new zoning may allow up to one million s/f of mixed use development with 400 residential units and 500,000 s/f of office/retail space currently being planned.
