According to Mark Glassman, director of commercial real estate services at Arnold Peck's Commercial World, there is life in the industrial market in Southern Conn.
Glassman completed the 52,800 s/f lease to Cosmo's Food Products, an antipasto specialties firm that manufactures pickled products and also processes several kinds of spicy peppers, which needed additional warehouse space for its growing product lines. "The specialty food business has seen growth in this economy," said Cosmo Laudano. He believes the growth is due to more people staying home and making their own antipasto salads.
The property, 281 Dogburn Rd., a 181,000 s/f warehouse facility, was chosen for its reasonable rental rates, 24' ceilings for high bay storage, multiple loading docks and the ability to expand in the future if need be.
The Shalvah Parnership which owns the property is pleased to have Cosmo's Foods as a tenant, a family owned business since 1944.
An additional 40,000 s/f remains available for lease.
