Griffin Electric Gives Back: by donating over $100,000 during holiday season

Holliston, MA With so many businesses and families hit hard throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. (Griffin Electric) is fortunate to be in a position to give back to local communities this past holiday season. In an effort to support food pantries and volunteers who have been working tirelessly to meet increasing demand, the company made the decision to donate $100,000 to several food pantries throughout New England and the Southeast. Griffin Electric and the employees throughout its corporate headquarters and regional office locations also participated in charitable causes that included toy, gift, and additional financial donations.

Continuing its annual tradition of supporting the Holliston Pantry Shelf, Griffin’s New England region adopted families through the organization’s Mitten project, providing local children with various holiday gifts. Office employees also collected donations to the food pantry, an organization that has provided food to Holliston residents in need at no charge since 1993.

In the Southeast, employees in Griffin’s Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, and Duluth regions each partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. For almost 75 years, Toys for Tots has collected new, unwrapped toys as Christmas gifts for less fortunate children. Collectively, Griffin employees in these regions donated hundreds of toys for local kids in their respective areas.

The company and its employees understand the true meaning of the holiday season and the importance of giving back. While maintaining close ties to the community has always been embedded in the Griffin Electric culture, the company recognizes that this past year has been particularly challenging and felt even more compelled to pay it forward to those in need.
