Wayne J. Griffin Electric raffles off 2023 Jeep Wrangler to celebrate 45th anniversary

Holliston, MA Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. (Griffin Electric) commemorated its 45th anniversary by hosting a company-wide raffle for its team of dedicated employees. The grand prize was a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4x4, and the lucky winner was a long-time employee who clearly demonstrates what it means to “Work with the Best.”

Employees received one chance per year of service, which resulted in an average of 10 tickets per person. The new Jeep was part of a series of substantial prizes that were raffled-off by the company in honor of its significant anniversary milestone, with winners being drawn at a summer outing event in New England. Griffin Electric held these summer outings for its employees and their families in each of its regional locations; the outing for its New England region was in July, while outings for its four Southeast regional locations in Alabama, Georgia, and North Carolina took place in June.

Prizes were drawn on both a regional as well as a company-wide basis, and in addition to the jeep included travel packages, cash prizes, paid vacation time, and more! With many fun activities planned for all ages at each event, these outings were an opportunity to bring both field and office employees and their families together to celebrate and reward them for the hard work they put in every day.

The company is proud to have evolved from its modest beginnings into one of the top electrical firms in the country, a credit to the substantial investment it has made to build a strong team and culture over the past four-plus decades. Griffin’s “Work with the Best. Be the Best” mentality has guided the company to hire, train, and maintain the best possible workforce and helped shape the company into what it is today. Reaching this important milestone is a reflection of the quality of people it has surrounded itself with, from its own dedicated workforce to the solid business relationships it has built and sustained over the years.

With thousands of projects to its credit over the past 45 years, Griffin Electric serves clients across a range of markets and has made a name for itself as an industry leader. It once again earned the #1 ranking as the top electrical contractor in New England by Engineering News-Record (ENR). Each of the company’s regional locations are also consistently recognized among the best and largest electrical contractors in the Southeast.

With this year also marking the 30th anniversary of Griffin Electric’s in-house Apprenticeship Training Program, the company certainly has a lot to celebrate in 2023. Its federally recognized, state approved, and fully accredited four-year program consists of classroom instruction and on-the-job learning, and has helped prepare many men and women in pursuit of their electrical and telecommunications licensure over the past three decades.

Looking back on 45 years since Wayne Griffin first opened the doors to his own electrical subcontracting business in July 1978, the company can be proud of not only the projects it has built but also the communities it has helped shape along the way. Above all, though, the company is most proud of the people it has impacted. Providing the type of support to help its employees reach their full potential and have fulfilling careers is incredibly rewarding.
