GVA Williams of Conn. has been selected as exclusive leasing agent for the Front St. District development, a 150,000 s/f restaurant and entertainment project downtown. The property is located across from the Hartford Convention Center, Marriott Hotel and the future Conn. Science Center.
Phase I of the project will include 60,000 s/f and is targeted for completion in the fall of 2009.
The developer is The HB Nitkin Group, a Greenwich, Conn. based real estate investment firm with retail properties located throughout the state.
HB Nitkin selected GVA Williams as its exclusive leasing agent because of GVA's successful retail leasing track record in Conn. and expert knowledge of the area's market. Speaking on behalf of HB Nitkin, Craig Way, vice president of leasing, said, "We believe GVA is an aggressive firm well-suited for the challenge of attracting retailers downtown to a restaurant and entertainment district that will be the first of its kind in Hartford. We are excited to be working with GVA and look forward to a successful partnership."

"This is an exciting project for Hartford that further emphasizes development in the downtown area," said Cory Gubner, president and CEO of GVA Williams.
"We are pleased that HB Nitkin had the confidence in us to help make this project a reality."

Dominick Musilli, senior vice president at GVA Williams, said, "This is a terrific opportunity for GVA Williams to be a part of a development that will expand the attractions that downtown Hartford has to offer to Conn. residents who work in, live in, and visit the city each year."
Stacy Libby and Nick Leibowitz will also be a part of the GVA team working on the project.
