IREM Boston to host visitors from Japan and other upcoming events

The IREM Boston Chapter will be hosting a dozen CPM's from Japan in the last quarter of 2012. This group has been touring the US over the last couple of years and has set their sights on Boston in 2012. Their main focus is going to be viewing condominium properties that are more than 15 -20 years old and learn how these developments are dealing with major capital improvement project, especially those properties whose replacement reserve funds are not adequately funded to address these issues. We are very excited to have them come to Boston and look forward to their visit. Below is a list of upcoming events the Chapter has planned. 1.Annual Landscape Contest: Deadline - October 5, 2012. There are two different categories based on location and budget allowances. Additionally, there are two groups with each of these two categories. Please see the list below. Last year we had over 50 properties submit pictures of their properties. This contest has become quit competitive and we encourage you to submit your properties. Past winners were extremely proud to present an award to the owners of their properties. These awards signify that your property is one of the best in New England, (Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire & Vermont). You can submit your picture at any time. 2. Fair Housing and Beyond Training: Date to be determined This course is collaboration between IREM and the National Apartment Association Education (NAAEI) to address the need for comprehensive fair housing training in the residential real estate management industry field. 3. 2012 Annual IREM Boston Charity Golf Tournament: September 10, 2012 - Granite Links Golf Club (12:30pm shot-gun start) This year's chosen charity will be the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Foundation.
