IREM to host Ethics for the Real Estate Manager - ETH800

Norwood, MA Ethics for the Real Estate Manager - ETH800: Addressing ethical dilemmas commonly faced by today’s real estate managers, this media-based course teaches strategies for resolving ethical dilemmas and adherence to the IREM Code of Professional Ethics, culminating in an exam to earn IREM credentialing credit. It will be held at the Olde Derby Village Mgmt. Building 4 at 4 Olde Derby Rd. from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 21.

• IREM Code of Professional Ethics: Applications to real world situations, ethical duties to clients, tenants/residents, employers, and colleagues.

• Ethical decision making: Ethical vs. unethical business practices, tactics for resolving ethical dilemmas, scenarios with ethical implications.

• Conflict of interest: Fiduciary relationships, conflict of interest scenarios.

• Detailed case study: Enforcement of the IREM Code of Professional Ethics, the role of the IREM Ethics Committee, review of actual ethics cases and their implications.

• Chapter Meetings

Chapter meetings are generally held on the third Thursday of the month.  These meetings are conducted at various locations in the Greater Boston area and offer timely information through dynamic guest speakers. Certain months have also traditionally been devoted to special events in the chapter. The annual golf tournament is combined with our September Business Meeting and our Annual Holiday Celebration is held in December.  Networking events are also held throughout the year
