JM Coull selected for UNH and BC projects

June 17, 2010 - Construction Design & Engineering
JM Coull has been awarded construction contracts at the University of New Hampshire and Boston College.
Smith Hall is a former UNH dormitory. Its renovation will transform the building for use by the admissions department, the counseling center, the center for academic resources and disability services for students. The project creates an opportunity to increase energy efficiency through the conversion from pneumatic to digital controls for the HVAC system. JMC will also upgrade the fire protection system and add air conditioning to prepare the building for year-round use.
The helium recovery project at BC was prompted by the high cost and the volatility of the supply of helium, which is used in physics laboratory experiments. On a fast-tracked summer schedule, JM Coull will install the helium piping and rig and install the recovery equipment while upgrading the lab's HVAC system.
