Steve Matin

Boston, MA JM Electrical (JME), has promoted Steve Matin to the role of project manager. Matin’s journey with JME began in 2020 as a co-op from Wentworth Institute of Technology, and since then, his dedication and commitment have propelled him to become an integral part of the team.

Matin’s promotion within JME is a testament to his unwavering work ethic, dedication, and continuous growth. Having transitioned to a full-time role as assistant project manager in January 2021, Matin has consistently demonstrated his aptitude for project management and his deep understanding of JME’s company values. Matin’s new role as project manager encompasses a diverse set of responsibilities, including preparing job quotes and estimates for customers, bid negotiations, estimating workforce requirements, and managing field workforce activities.

In his new capacity, Steve will be responsible for a portfolio of projects while also acting as the IT liaison for JM Electrical. With his comprehensive skill set and dedication to excellence, Steve is poised to excel in his new role.

“I want to thank everyone who has supported me for the past few years,” said Matin. “It has been a great learning experience and I’m looking forward to creating new value for our team in the future.”

John Guarracino, principal and COO of JM Electrical, expressed his confidence in Steve’s abilities, said, “Steve’s promotion is well-deserved, and we have full confidence in his ability to lead our projects with the highest level of quality. His dedication to our company’s values and his proven track record make him the ideal candidate for this position.”

Matin graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. While there he built applications for process automation and data validation, which are seldom seen in the construction industry. As JM Electrical continues its commitment to providing the highest level of service to the commercial electrical contracting industry, Matin’s promotion underscores the firm’s dedication to fostering talent and promoting from within.
