Sudbury, MA JSA Inc. worked with Epoch Senior Living and National Development to make their newest senior living campuses in Massachusetts, a reality. Bridges by Epoch in Sudbury, a 43,088 s/f structure, consists of three, 18-unit (20 bed) households. Bridges by Epoch in Andover, a 55,450 s/f building, consists of four 18-unit households. Designed by JSA, these two memory care residences were arranged around a central core of common and support spaces.

In each household, dining rooms are the primary social gathering space with a residential kitchen and windows directly linking the memory garden to this interior space. Library’s, living rooms, activity rooms, and lounges all have connecting views to the next, natural daylight and indirect lighting with enhanced controls which respond to the needs of the residents at various points in their days including “sun downing.”

“I was blown away by the interior finishes. It’s the difference between a house and a home. Bridges is a very special place,” said Larry Gerber, president, Epoch Senior Living. “Every nook and cranny is designed with the needs of our special memory care residents in mind.”
