KBS Realty Advisors appoints Kaufman as senior vice president

KBS Realty Advisors has named Randi Kaufman as senior vice president and asset manager, responsible for Massachusetts. KBS and affiliated companies own six assets in the state, for a total of 1.2 million s/f. She will continue to be based in New York. In her new position, Kaufman will oversee all asset management functions associated with KBS properties in Mass., as well as N.J., Penn., N.Y. and Ohio, for a total of 5.9 million s/f. In addition to the development, implementation and execution of strategic leasing operational plans for each property in the portfolio, Kaufman will be responsible for all third-party consultants and agents in the region. Kaufman comes to KBS after four years with New York-based Blackrock, Inc. where she was vice president and asset manager, responsible for a $500 million portfolio of multifamily assets, condominium and land developments in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida. Previously, she was an investment manager for the Hampshire Companies in Morristown, N.J. In this capacity she managed and repositioned a 1.8 million s/f portfolio of industrial properties located in New Jersey and Maryland. "Randi has an impressive track record with an eye towards reaching property performance goals," said Chuck Lindwall, KBS regional president. "Her wealth of experience - both from an asset management and geographic standpoint - will bode well for KBS in adding value to its portfolio." Kaufman received her master's degree from New York University in New York, and her bachelor's degree from Pace University, also in New York. KBS Realty Advisors is a private equity real estate company and SEC-registered investment advisor founded in 1992 by Peter Bren and Chuck Schreiber.
