Landmark Structures completes $3.2m, 15 unit condo development

Landmark Structures Corp., a leading full service general contractor/construction management co., has completed construction of 15 affordable housing condominium units in Salem's Point Neighborhood for the Salem Harbor Community Development Corporation. Standing on the site of the former Keefe's restaurant, the new construction represents a boost to a neighborhood with a limited supply of owner-occupied housing units.  The building encompasses six 1,489 s/f three-bedroom town house style units; three 1,156 s/f two-bedroom units; and six 747 s/f two-bedroom units.  One of the units is adaptable for persons with physical impairment.   A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held January 29 at the site of the new units, located at 50-52 Palmer St. Salem mayor Kimberley Driscoll and former Ward 1 city councilor and long-time neighborhood resident Lucy Driscoll were among those speaking at the well-attended ceremony. Steve Eisenberg and Conrad DeLisio of Landmark Structures served as project manager and project superintendent, respectively for the $3.2 million project.  Nina Cohen represented the Salem Harbor CDC as project manager for the new 15-unit condominiums.  Project architects were Luna Design Associates. "As a community-based builder, Landmark Structures brings an intimate understanding of the local landscape to our projects," said William Glasser, president/CEO of Landmark Structures.  "We're proud to have worked on this affordable housing project that will provide another residential choice for low and moderate income residents in the North Shore area."
