Maggiore Companies completes $19.25 million sale to Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe

East Taunton, MA The Maggiore Companies consummated the $19.25 million sale of the Liberty and Union Business Center to the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. The sale included three buildings on 59 acres of land and will become a portion of the Wampanoag’s proposed casino development.

Maggiore purchased the property, which is located on Stevens St. and O’Connell Way, in 2007 and built 200,000 s/f of single story, flex space and an office/retail facility.

According to Paul Maggiore, Maggiore CEO, “the existing infrastructure attracted us to the area in 2006 and was likely an important component of the Wampanoag’s decision to locate the casino in East Taunton.”

Maggiore optioned the property to the Tribe in 2012 and the Wampanoag’s spent the past three years in the state and federal permit process.
