Boston, MA According to Perkins+Will, award-winning hospitality interior designer Jacqueline McGee and her team have joined the firm’s Boston office, helping to strengthen the firm’s hospitality practice while supporting McGee’s ongoing interior design work in hotels, restaurants, and residential projects nationwide.

McGee has 23 years of experience in interior design, as well as theater set design and film design, including London theaters, the BBC, and motion pictures. Her work on hotel brands, both global and independent, restaurants, multifamily residential and single-family residential spans major urban centers across the United States, from New York to Washington, D.C. to Seattle to Los Angeles. She is currently working on projects in Boston, San Diego, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, and Atlanta.

“I’ve always been driven by what I call ‘design with a capital D’: that is, design that makes a difference,” said McGee. “Whether designing for theater, bringing to life the production sets for television and film, or creating memorable hotel and restaurant experiences, my designs always serve a greater purpose for my clients and their guests. I am thrilled to be part of Perkins+Will as I continue place-making and storytelling through design.”

Manuel Cadrecha, who oversees Perkins+Will’s global corporate and commercial practice, says McGee will be based out of the firm’s Boston office but will collaborate closely with other offices across the firm to design hospitality and multifamily residential projects.

“Jackie and her team’s expertise are going to be a great addition to our hospitality practice,” says Cadrecha.

“We’re so excited to welcome Jacqueline and her team to our firm as we continue to grow and win new projects,” said Robert Brown, managing director of Perkins+Will’s Boston office. “We see a great opportunity here to grow our hospitality practice while infusing our other practice areas with the principles of hospitality design.  This speaks to the truly collaborative nature of our firm.”

McGee’s award-winning hospitality portfolio will build upon Perkins+Will’s growing practice, which includes: Haymarket Square Hotel (Boston), 1212 Lincoln Rd. (Miami), 5th and Virginia (Seattle), and AC Marriott (Rio de Janeiro).
