According to Michael Richetelli, president of Colonial Properties Inc., Fred Messore, vice president and development specialist has facilitated the sale of 449 Boston Post Rd. for $1.45 million. Messore was the sole broker in the transaction and represented the seller, Niko Realty, LLC. The buyer, CEE Orange, LLC will be operating a chef's equipment store at the location. The building was most recently occupied by Murphy and McCoy's Furniture Store and previously by La-Z-Boy. 449 Boston Post Rd. is a freestanding retail building approximately 13,660 s/f and sits on .97 acres on a prime stretch of Rte. 1, adjacent to the Bank of America and close to Home Depot. The buyer is in the process of making renovations to the building and plans on opening a CHEF's Equipment Emporium within the next couple of months. The business will be owned and operated by Michele DeMartino. "I'm very excited to join one of the hottest retail areas in Connecticut.
