Millennium Ptrs. signs three tenants totaling 75,000 s/f at 179 Lincoln St.

Millennium Partners Boston has signed leases for 75,000 s/f and has commitments for an additional 25,000 s/f of office space at 179 Lincoln St., a 220,000 s/f, newly renovated office building. Initial tenants are The TriZetto Grp. (31,000 s/f), ; Bovis Lend Lease LMB, Inc. (22,000 s/f), ; and PowerAdvocate, Inc. (22,000 s/f). This five-story office building with detailing on all four sides, covers a city block bounded by Kneeland, Beach, and Lincoln Sts. and The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway. Built in 1899 and renovated with modern interiors by Millennium, the designer for the renovation was CBT Architects of Boston. "We are very pleased to have attracted these first-rate business users to our property," said Anthony Pangaro, principal of Millennium. "We enthusiastically complied with federal and state historic rehabilitation standards, in keeping with the property's status as a 'significant contributing structure' in the landmark Leather District.  We also expect to qualify for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Core-and-Shell Certification," said Pangaro. "Millennium Partners - Boston has a long history of improving the quality of the assets that the firm acquires," said David Fitzgerald, executive vice president/partner at CB Richard Ellis, the exclusive leasing agent for the building. The TriZetto Group, which will relocate to the building from the Hancock Tower, is a developer of software and services for the healthcare payer industry. The company was represented by Brian Smallman, vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle. PowerAdvocate, a provider of supply chain solutions for the energy industry, sought to relocate from its Summer St. operations to a LEED-certified building. PowerAdvocate was represented by senior vice president Kristin Blount and vice president Patrick Buckley of Colliers Meredith & Grew. Bovis Lend Lease, a world-leading project management, design and construction company, will also occupy 22,000 square feet at the building and will pursue LEED Commercial Interior (CI) certification. The company will use its 179 Lincoln St. headquarters to showcase the firm's dedication to sustainable practices. Bovis Lend Lease was also represented by Blount and executive vice president Ron Perry, from Colliers Meredith & Grew. The CBRE team of Tim Lyne, executive vice president/partner, David Fitzgerald, executive vice president/partner and Taidgh McClory, vice president, represented Millennium in the transactions.
