In his new position, Ng will be responsible for a range of tasks related to power project development, including permitting, preliminary and detailed engineering, design, and construction-phase services, with a focus on mechanical engineering for gas-turbine-based simple-cycle plants as well as cogeneration plants. WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff provides extensive technical and project management services to the U.S. power market, encompassing both conventional technologies and newer technologies such as cogeneration, combined-cycle generation and the use of renewable energy sources. Ng has more than 20 years of experience in design, consulting, project management, project development, and site selection for energy projects involving coal, biomass, waste-to-energy, cogeneration, and gas turbine power generation. Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff he served as a senior consultant with a Massachusetts engineering firm, where he provided owner’s engineer, contracting and environmental permitting support services, as well as feasibility evaluations, due diligence reviews, and construction management and monitoring services. Ng received a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He is a registered professional engineer in Massachusetts.
